QuickSpec (& QuickSpec Wales) - Purchase
The App, now comes as part of our Premium-Plus and Standard-Plus registrations: Subscribe Now
Registered users can update to the relevant '-Plus' registration to access the app.
Note: Minimum Android Version 2.1 required. Installation info is applicable to both QuickSpec and 'QuickSpec Wales'.
Download
Once you have purchased a subscription, you will receive an email with login details and a link to download the App.
Please open the download link in the email on your Android Mobile Device or Tablet. This will automatically download the app.
QuickSpec - Allowing installation from "Unknown Sources"
Remember to set your phone to allow installation of apps from Non-Android Market / Google Play, otherwise you may get an "Install Blocked" error when trying to install the App.
To do this, you need to go to your Android device's "Settings" and check the box "Unknown sources" which is found under either the "Security" or the "Applications" menu.
Please check before purchase that your device allows installation of Non-Android Market Apps.
Here are step-by-step instructions for enabling installation:
- Go to "Settings".
- Then go to "Security" or "Applications" (depends upon make and model of your phone.)
- Check the box "Unknown sources", as shown to the right.
To install the App, please go to your "Download" folder and click on the "QuickSpec.apk" file (this should also appear on your phone's "Notifications").
You will be prompted to install the App. Please go ahead with the installation.
Once installation is complete, you will be asked whether you wish to open the app. Please open it.
Activation
Once you have opened the app you will be prompted to enter your login details. Do that and then press the "Login\Activate" button.
Activation will then take place automatically over the internet.
Once activated you can begin using QuickSpec to browse through and compile your Building Regs Specifications.

House Extension, New Build, Flat Conversion, Loft Conversion, Garage Conversion, New Build Flats, Basement Conversion or Garage Build.
